The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, April 25, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Frederic Tremblay is keeping his "hold" recommendation for Goodfood Market intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Tremblay slashed his share target by 30 cents to 30 cents. Analysts on average target the shares at 25 cents. Mr. Tremblay says in a note: "Q2 FY25 missed expectations as macro headwinds are impacting consumer demand. A large contraction in the number of active customers weighed on results, although gross margin protection enabled slightly positive adjusted EBITDA. Goodfood is seeing some stability in the customer count so far in 3Q. While we are pleased that no further deterioration has been observed, we also believe a sharp positive reversal is unlikely in the current environment." The Globe reported on April 19, 2024, and Jan. 23, 2025, that Mr. Tremblay continued to rate Goodfood "hold." The shares could then be had for 32 cents and 52 cents. The Globe reported on April 24, 2025, that Stifel analyst Martin Landry rated Goodfood "hold." The shares could then be had for 18 cents.
