The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Aug. 4, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Kevin Krishnaratne is keeping his "sector outperform" recommendation for Lightspeed Commerce intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Krishnaratne edged his share target ahead by $1 (U.S.) to $25 (U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $20.08 (U.S.). Mr. Krisharatne says in a note: "Lightspeed Commerce is one of our favourite names in our coverage given its valuation (3.9 times CY24 GP vs. peers at 8.4 times) and the opportunity for GP upside on its unified payments push. Q1 results did not disappoint, with a revenue beat and adjusted EBITDA losses coming in lower than forecast, and all KPI's we track that matter most ahead of expectations. Q2 guide was introduced and was in line with the Street at the midpoint for revenue, with FY24 outlook maintained. We think management's decision to maintain guidance is appropriate, reflecting a soft macro and the evolving Payments rollout into geographies outside of North America in the coming quarters, and in a manner that is least disruptive to customers."
