The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that Scotia Capital analyst Kevin Krishnaratne has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Lightspeed Commerce. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Krishnaratne knocked his share target back to $10 from $11 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $13.12. Mr. Krishnaratne says in a note: "[We downgraded our share target] largely owing to lowered estimates (in particular for F27). Although we do see support for the stock, which now trades at 1.6 times CY26 GP and 10.2 times CY26 EBITDA and with management active on its buyback, we'd rather wait for better customer location growth and GTV trends before getting more constructive on shares. We see Lightspeed Commerce as shaping up to be more of a 2H story, where we model improving GTV growth (as SSS trends start to turn more positive vs. current declines) and as Lightspeed pushes key location growth into the mid-single-digit range (current low-single-digit) on path toward its 3-year CAGR goal of 10 to 15 per cent." The Globe reported on Feb. 1, 2024, that Mr. Krishnaratne had reaffirmed his "sector outperform" call for Lightspeed. It was then worth $14.25.
