The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, June 5, edition that Citi analyst Michael Ward has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Magna International. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Ward's share target soared $17 to $75 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $61.02. Mr. Ward sees Magna as "fairly valued at current trading levels given the current outlook." He thinks "longer-term demographics should support higher demand in key global markets and new business wind could provide revenue upside." Mr. Ward says in a note: "The supplier group has been adversely affected by uneven production since Covid but shrugged off tariff-related volatility and cutbacks in BEV [battery electric vehicle] production in 2025 to outperform. More consistent schedules, inventory addition and commercial recoveries should offset lower global volumes in first half of the year, producing improved group performance in 2026. We expect Magna to benefit from positive demand trends in North America, new business wins, cost reduction efforts and commercial recoveries. ... We believe Magna is viewed as one of the top suppliers by global vehicle manufacturers and suppliers."
