The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 17, edition that BMO Capital Markets analyst Michael Markidis has reaffirmed his "market perform" recommendation for Nexus Industrial REIT. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Markidis gave his unit target a $1.50 trim to $8.50. Analysts on average target the units at $90.34. Mr. Markidis says in a note: "Nexus Industrial has made solid progress increasing the scale and upgrading the quality of its industrial portfolio this year. Unfortunately, year-over-year earnings comps have been negatively impacted by increased leverage and higher rates. The hedging program should provide some relief in the short term. We are also optimistic that private market conditions will become more constructive and allow Nexus to expedite its non-core capital recycling program on favorable terms." The Globe reported on Feb. 14 and March 21 that Mr. Markidis rated Nexus Industrial "market perform." The units could then be had for $10.71 and $9.64. The Globe reported on Aug. 17 that Raymond James analyst Brad Sturges had lowered his recommendation for Nexus Industrial to "outperform" from "strong buy." The units could then be had for $7.92.
