The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday edition that Scotia Capital analyst Himanshu Gupta continues to rate Nexus Industrial REIT "sector outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Gupta gave his unit target a 50-cent trim to $8.50. Analysts on average target the units at $8.64. Mr. Gupta says in a note: "We maintain our 'sector perform' rating for higher yield, but some patience is required on the name. Sentiment on the industrial sector has been sideways for some time, with larger Industrial peers (DIR and GRT) trading at 21-per-cent to 28-per-cent discounts to NAV. Nexus Industrial REIT trading at an 18-per-cent discount to NAV and at 10.4 times 2026 estimated AFFO. Overall, Nexus Industrial REIT has done a good job on asset dispositions (legacy retail and office assets) and is all set to become a pure-play Industrial REIT." The Globe reported on July 19 that National Bank analyst Matt Kornack had elevated his recommendation for Nexus Industrial REIT to "outperform" from "sector perform." The units were then worth $7.65. The Globe reported on Aug. 16 that TD Cowen analyst Aaron MacNeil was sticking with his "hold" call on Nexus Industrial. It was then trading at $7.83.
