The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, April 30, edition that Scotia Capital analyst George Doumet is sticking with his "sector outperform" recommendation for Restaurant Brands International. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Doumet boosted his share target by a buck to $81 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $84.88. Mr. Doumet says in a note: "Restaurant Brands International has been delivering solid home market performance, particularly at BK U.S. and Tim's Canada, while international has seen moderating growth in comps and NRG. For Q1, we continue to expect a mixed internal picture at home vs overseas, and are largely in line with consensus. Restaurant Brands shares are trading at 5 per cent vs the historical average and an 11-per-cent discount vs IHF peers. Continuing healthy SSSG trends (BK U.S. improvements, healthy TH Canada results) and mid-4-per-cent NRG should help narrow the gap." The Globe reported on March 29, 2023, Oct. 31, 2023, Jan. 18, 2024, and Feb. 9, 2024, that Mr. Doumet rated Restaurant Brands "sector outperform." It was then worth $64.50, $66.42, $76.74 and $77.02.
