The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 15, edition that Bank of Nova Scotia lowered its share target for Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure to $1.10 from $1.50. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Scotiabank slashed its share target for Tidewater following an earnings miss. Scotiabank says in a note: "While we bring down our 2024 estimates and target price, we believe the magnitude of the share price move is an overreaction as our 2025 estimates only move down slightly (3 per cent). It would appear the commissioning issues with the renewable diesel facility are behind them with the facility operating at nameplate capacity in recent weeks." The Globe reported on April 22 that CIBC analyst Robert Catellier had moved his share target for Tidewater to $1.50 from $1.60, while maintaining an "outperformer" recommendation. The shares could then be had for 93 cents. The Globe reported on Aug. 30 that Credit Suisse analyst Andrew Kuske was keeping his "outperform" call on Tidewater intact. He lowered his share target by a dime to $1.20. The shares could then be had for 98 cents.
