ORIGINAL: FintechWerx to Showcase Ruby Loans at CCUA's 2026 Financial Forum

FintechWerx International Software Services Inc.

Vancouver, British Columbia – TheNewswire - September 29, 2026 - FintechWerx International Software Services Inc. (CSE: WERX) (“FintechWerx” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that representatives of the Company will attend the Canadian Credit Union Association (“CCUA”) 2026 Financial Forum, taking place October 4–6, 2026, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Fred Zdan, Chief Executive Officer of FinanceWerx Solutions Inc. founder of Ruby Loans, and Steve Mott, Head of Sales for FintechWerx, will represent the Company at the conference, meeting with credit union leaders and lending professionals to introduce Ruby Loans and discuss opportunities to modernize and automate the small and medium-sized enterprise (“SME”) lending process.

The appearance comes ahead of FintechWerx’s strategy to introduce the platform to credit unions and financial institutions across North America. Nearly one in four Canadian micro-business financing requests are declined, while the share of small businesses needing financing increased from 35% in 2012 to 58% in 2022.1 This growing demand is placing additional pressure on lenders to process applications efficiently, a gap Ruby Loans is designed to help address for North American credit unions and banks.

Ruby Loans is an AI-powered lending platform designed to automate key components of SME loan intake, document processing, credit analysis, and preparation of decision-ready applications. Through a self-serve borrower portal, the platform gathers and validates information and supporting documentation while operating within a financial institution’s existing lending infrastructure, policies, and workflows.

“Credit unions are the core of our Canadian go-to-market for Ruby Loans, and the CCUA Financial Forum puts us directly in front of the people responsible for SME lending,” says George Hofsink, CEO of FintechWerx. “Ruby Loans is built to deploy rapidly and work inside a credit union’s existing lending framework rather than replace it, and that’s the conversation we’re going to Charlottetown to have.”

“Credit unions have a tremendous opportunity to grow their SME lending businesses, but the amount of manual work involved in building and reviewing files can limit how much volume their teams can realistically handle,” says Zdan. “Ruby Loans is designed to remove much of that administrative burden while keeping lending decisions and borrower relationships where they belong: with the credit union.”

FintechWerx will also use the Financial Forum to introduce its Ruby Loans early adopter program, providing participating institutions with an opportunity to assess the platform against their requirements and workflows, participate in pilot deployments, and provide product feedback ahead of broader commercialization.

The CCUA Financial Forum brings together credit union professionals from across Canada working in lending, treasury, and commercial business. The 2026 event combines elements of CCUA’s former National Lending Conference, Treasury & Finance Forum, and Commercial Business Forum into a single national event focused on credit union lending and treasury services.

“Our conversations with credit unions consistently come back to the same issue: they want to grow their commercial and SME portfolios without simply adding more people and more manual processes,” says Mott. “Charlottetown gives us an opportunity to demonstrate how Ruby Loans can fit into the systems and lending policies they already have in place and help their teams create capacity for more business.”

Resignation of Nafees Khan

The Company also announces that Nafees Khan has resigned as the President of the Company effective immediately.  Mr. Khan will remain as a director of the Company.  The Company thanks Mr. Khan for his services as the President of the Company.
