EDGEWATER WIRELESS NOMINATED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACCELERATED GROWTH SERVICE (AGS) PROGRAM

Edgewater Wireless Systems Inc. has been nominated to participate in the accelerated growth service (AGS) program by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED-ISDE). AGS offers support to a number of high-growth, high-potential, qualifying businesses across Canada.

As part of the program, Edgewater may gain access to key government support, such as research and development (R&D) funding, advisory services, financing assistance, and global partnership and export opportunities. The AGS program will also provide Edgewater with a personalized team of government experts to support the company's growth plans, and help identify new government programs that could help Edgewater capture near and long-term business opportunities. Accessing federal and provincial funding and development programs will allow Edgewater to amplify innovation and growth investments.

Edgewater's cutting-edge Wi-Fi spectrum slicing approach is the first technology to enable multiple, in-band concurrent links (or channels) within a given coverage area using standards-compliant Wi-Fi. Using advanced signal processing techniques, Spectrum Slicing is proven to deliver dramatically lower latency (50 per cent or more) and seven to 18 times performance gains over legacy, single-channel Wi-Fi architectures -- for existing and new devices.

With Edgewater's Wi-Fi spectrum slicing, service providers and vendors are no longer forced to replace all existing devices, such as Wi-Fi 4/Wi-Fi 5/Wi-Fi 6, on the network to benefit from the evolving Wi-Fi 7 standard. In other words, the over 20 billion existing Wi-Fi devices, such as televisions, smart phones and gaming consoles, do not need to be replaced to realize the gains associated with spectrum slicing, plus newest devices to benefit from the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard.
